With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Matt brings a unique background to his position as Vice President of Operations. Prior to commencing his career in general contracting, Matt owned a cabinetry and millwork business in Montana. His experience as a successful business owner, subcontractor and general contractor give him a well-rounded approach to our business.

As a cabinet maker, Matt has worked on high-end custom residential projects throughout the west and northwest, as well as select commercial projects with high-end cabinetry, millwork and furniture components. As a general contractor, Matt has been involved in projects ranging from single family residences, retail and tenant improvements, base building renovations to a multi-million square foot single use office building project that was acclaimed as the largest of its kind under construction in the United States at the time of substantial completion. Whether he is building a fine piece of furniture, a wooden boat or an office building, he truly enjoys the process and the satisfaction that can only come from building something.

Matt has a hands on approach to everything that he is involved in and is just as comfortable in the field as he is in the office. His entrepreneurial spirit is a great compliment to that of TRINITY’s founder and CEO, Mil “Flip” Wallen and together - along with the rest of our team -they continue to build on the success of TRINITY.

Matt graduated from the University of Montana with high honors, earning a BSB with an emphasis in International Business, Finance and Japanese.

Fun Facts:  An an avid outdoorsman, Matt has been active in rock and ice climbing, fly fishing, hunting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, motorcycles, paragliding, hang gliding and just about anything else you can enjoy outdoors at one time or another. While he has had to shortlist his hobbies due to the time constraints that a family and career can impose, he can still be found hang gliding and fly fishing on occasion. Ask him how many bones he has broken.
